Zovo Fishbone

Fishbone diagrams from your list of causes.

Zovo Fishbone turns a problem and its causes into a clean fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram. Give the problem and 2 to 8 categories with up to 10 causes each and up to 5 sub-causes per cause, or leave the categories out to start from the 6M set: People, Methods, Machines, Materials, Measurements and Environment. Text wraps inside the drawing, and a layout check on the real font widths confirms that no label overlaps another label or crosses a bone. The PDF is landscape Letter, A4 or Tabloid. When the causes do not fit on one page with text of at least 7 pt, the PDF goes on to more pages and the result says so. You also get an SVG of the whole diagram, a CSV with one row per cause and sub-cause, and a text outline. A second tool checks the cause list for empty categories, duplicate causes and text that is too long before you draw.

Limitations

Up to 8 categories, 10 causes per category and 5 sub-causes per cause
Text limits: problem 120, category 40, cause 80 and sub-cause 60 characters
It draws the causes you give; it does not find or rank root causes
The PDF font covers Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese; Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and emoji show as ? in the PDF (the SVG keeps them)
Files of large diagrams are kept for 1 hour so the download links work, then deleted; download the files to keep them

ChatGPT: once Zovo Fishbone is approved, add it from the ChatGPT plugin directory.

Claude: go to Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector and enter https://fishbone.zovo.one/mcp. No sign-in is needed. Once Zovo Fishbone is listed in the Claude connector directory, you can add it from there too.
